The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating an incident involving actor Harrison Ford at John Wayne airport in California.
The 74 year-old landed on a wrong runway, really closer to a full passenger plane, reports Hollywood Reporter.
The FAA, which never identifies people in such accidents or incidents, issued a statement about the actor being identified as the pilot of a single-engine Aviat Husky.
"Air traffic controllers cleared the pilot of a single-engine Aviat Husky to land on Runway 20L at John Wayne Airport Monday afternoon. The pilot correctly read back the clearance. The pilot then landed on a taxiway that runs parallel to the runway, overflying a Boeing 737 that was holding short of the runway. The FAA is investigating this incident," the FAA statement read.
Terry Williams, the spokesperson of National Transportation Safety Board, told that the agency is aware of the incident and is gathering more information about it. But, he did not have any official comment at this time.
No statement has been issued by Ford's rep, till now.
Ford and his love of flying made headlines in March 2015, when he made an emergency crash landing at Penmar Golf Course in Venice, California.
The 'Indiana Jones' actor is an experienced pilot with decades of flying experience.
