Union Minister of Science and Technology and Earth Sciences, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, that processes for procurement of all the required equipment for research at Antarctica will be expedited.
He made this known during a telecon with them from the National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research (NCAOR). He also conveyed the good wishes of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government to all scientists stationed at the Bharati research station in Antarctica.
The minister earlier visited all NCAOR labs and facilities, where he was briefed by the scientists.
The issue of increasing level of carbon dioxide in atmosphere and its impact on climate change over the years also came up for discussion.
