A parrot residing in Florida helped foil a suspected burglary in his owner's neighbour's home.
When the 21-year-old Emerald started squawking loudly, his owner, Suzette Beesley, realised that something was wrong, Sky News reported.
She looked outside her home in Tampa and saw someone trying to burgle her neighbour's house.
She told MyFoxTampaBay.com said that she called 911 while Emerald kept a watchful eye from his cage.
Hillsborough County Sheriff deputies surrounded the house and reportedly caught suspect Hans Christensen, 31, while he was trying to get away.
