In a recent interview, when asked about the 39-year-old songster's influence on Stefani's latest song 'Is What the Truth Feels Like,' the 46-year-old songstress said that every song she writes purely comes out of whatever her heart goes through and hence, the relationship "was an influence," reports People magazine.
The 'No Doubt' front-woman, while explaining how her bonding with Shelton over their public breakups helped her craft her hit 'Make Me Like You,' said that their relationship is not an accident, rather saved her from the hopelessness she was going through.
