With temperatures in many parts of the US sinking deep into negatives, the only business that tasted heat with the snow was online porn, which saw its traffic rise in usual business hours.
As it got unbearably colder in the US, people resorted to some online entertainment, as revealed by an online pornography website, PornHub.
According to Cnet, PornHub insisted that traffic on the site increased 5.2 percent across America on January 7 and 8 when Americans were stuck at home due to record low temperatures.
The state of Maine witnessed highest increase in PornHub traffic by 43.8 percent, while Michigan came close second in generating personal warmth, with a 42.1 percent increase.
Florida came third with 37.2 percent increase, despite the state witnessing few unusually frigid temperatures.
However, New York and New Jersey maintained their national average increase and the bitter cold apparently motivate them to seek some online fun.
