Hunger Games 2 director reveals Hoffman's final scenes won't be CGI

The director of Part 1 and Part 2 of the upcoming film 'The Hunger Games

Frances Lawrence said that he was able to salvage Hoffman's parts in both films without resorting to CGI effects, the New York Daily News reported.

He said on the official site of the movie that they have finished the majority of the 'Capote' star's work.

Lawrence added that the Hoffman had about 8-10 days left of the shooting and didn't have any dialogue in most of those scenes, so they are going to put him into those scenes by only using the real footage.

The actor who played Plutarch Heavensbee in 'The Hunger Games' movies died of a drug overdose in early February 2014.
