A youth from Hyderabad has gone missing in Malaysia's Kuala Lumpur.

Syed Yousuf, 30, who was offered a job in Kuala Lumpur, last spoke to his family on October 23.

According to Yousuf's family, he was offered the job by a travel agent on payment of Rs 75,000.

Speaking to ANI, Yousuf's sister Shaik Fatima said, "My brother was in search of a job and an agent offered him one in Malaysia. He took Rs 75,000 from us to send my brother to Malaysia. Although the agent said he will be sending Yousuf on work visa but later he sent him on visit visa. The agent cheated us."

Meanwhile, the High Commission of Malaysia has started working on tracing the man from Hyderabad.

They took to their Twitter handle on Saturday to announce the same.

"We are doing our best to locate him with the assistance of local authorities and keeping the family informed," reads the tweet.

Yousuf's sister has urged External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to help them in finding Yousuf.

"I request MEA Sushma Swaraj and the state government to help us in this matter and find my brother and send him back to India," said Fatima, who wrote a letter to the minister disclosing all the facts related to her missing brother.
