US President Donald Trump on Tuesday said that "the haters are going crazy" even though he doesn't know Russian President Vladimir Putin and has no deals in Russia, while the Obama administration's nuclear deal with Iran happened with "no problem."
"I don't know Putin, have no deals in Russia, and the haters are going crazy - yet Obama can make a deal with Iran, #1 in terror, no problem!" Trump tweeted.
According to the Washington Times, Trump has faced criticism from the right and left for saying the U.S. has a lot of "killers" as well, after Fox News host Bill O'Reilly called Putin a "killer" in a recent interview with the president.
"What, you think our country is so innocent?" Trump said.
In the same interview, Trump also said he didn't take it as an insult that pro-Russia separatists recently stepped up fighting in Ukraine after a conversation he had with Putin.
"No, I didn't, because we don't really know exactly what that is," he said. "They're pro forces. We don't know, are they uncontrollable? Are they uncontrolled? That happens, also. We're going to find out. I would be surprised. But we'll see."
Trump criticised Obama and the Iran Nuclear Agreement a week after his administration placed more sanctions on Tehran over a missile test and alleged support for terrorism.
Those new sanctions had been developed by the Obama administration. The President and aides say he is reviewing the Iran deal in which the United States, the five permanent members of United Nations Security Council, which includes Russia and China, and Germany reduced previous sanctions in exchange for Iran giving up the means to make nuclear weapons.
