I don't want to be frail, says TV's original Batman Adam West

Adam West, TV's original Batman, has recently admitted that he is afraid of the word "frail."

The 86-year-old said that not being able to move around or do things without thinking would be tough but hopes that his intellect will take over and he'll find some kind of joy and a way to contribute, the Daily Express reported.

The Hollywood veteran is in no fit state to leap into the Batmobile now, even if he could still squeeze his paunch into his utility belt.

After three seasons Batman was axed and West's career almost died and he became a Hollywood pariah.

The 'Super Capers' actor further mentioned that there were definitely times when he regretted ever being Batman because typecasting was really rampant in Hollywood.

West grew depressed and drowned his sorrows in booze but soon realised he had been squandering what gifts he had, so he called his agent and got back to work.

The 'Hardcore' artist now looks back incredulously at his three years as Batman when he was inundated with movie offers and sex-crazed fans.
