One hundred and eighty three Indian Administrative Service (IAS) probationers of the 2014 batch called on Union Minister of State for Personnel and Training Dr. Jitendra Singh here today.
During the meeting, Dr. Singh described them as the true torch bearers of the Narendra Modi-led government's vision of good governance. He further said that the IAS has maintained its standards of excellence and continues to be one of the most sought after vocations for Indian youth.
The new IAS probationers were accompanied by Rajeev Kapoor, Director, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie and Deputy Directors LBSNAA, Shri Mansoor Alam and Ms. Jaspreet Talwar.
Of the 183 probationers, 56 are women.
