Deceased Brazilian Formula One driver Ayrton Senna, who was very possibly the finest racer in the sport's history, will be remembered in the northern Italian town of Imola, 20 years after the legend passed away.

Five days of events will mark the death of Senna, who never drove for the most passionately supported of all Formula One teams Ferrari, in Imola, where the great champion perished 20 years ago.

The five days of events to remember Senna, who was the last man to die in a grand prix, will start on Wednesday, the Guardian reported.

Senna was reportedly one of the three or four greatest drivers in history and very possibly the finest, having won three world championships with 41 wins and 65 poles.

Meanwhile, Ferrari drivers Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso were united in grieving for the loss of their hero Senna, who walked away from his wife, his country and his friends in order to devote himself to Formula One.

Hamilton said that when he was a kid Senna was the driver he looked up to, adding that the legend inspired him to be a driver and on the day of his passing it had been very difficult for the Ferrari racer to show his emotions in his family, so he went off to a quite place as his hero had passed away.

Alonso said that Senna was an inspiration, adding that he remembers when he used to go to school and on his books he did not have the pictures of girls, but he had the pictures of the legend there instead.
