A film festival based on the real stories of differently abled people was recently held at the GM Hall in Imphal.
The festival was organized by the Chennai-based National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD) in collaboration with the Multi Media Cell, Spastic Society of Manipur and Brotherhood, Delhi.
The secretary of the SSM, Laishram Tokendra Ricky, said the film screening is organized with the objective of motivating the disabled people to live their lives to the fullest.
NIEPMD and SSM are planning to organize the international film festival for disabled people before the end of this year.
The festival would probably be organized at MFDC Hall or Manipur University's Mass Communication Department, Ricky said.
Altogether 12 films, including four films of disabled persons were screened in today's programme.
