Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar on Monday reiterated India's commitment to control climate change and said India pavilion will show the country's diversity and give a correct impression of India to the world.

"We have just inaugurated wonderful India pavilion (India@COP21). It showcases our commitment as far as climate change is concerned. It shows our efforts regarding everything and our innovative attitude," Javadekar told ANI here.

Javadekar also talked about initiatives taken by the India to protect the environment.

"The LED initiative, pre-poning of migration to Euro VI or Bharat VI of all the vehicles in India, give it up subsidy, which is unique programme in which 40 percent of households who use fire wood will get LPG cylinder after people will give up their subsidy," he added.

"So many things have been done. We will be investing nearly 30 billion dollars for afforestation programme. Whatever Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDC) says we are implementing it. This pavilion also shows our diversity. 8 percent of world bio diversity is in India. Therefore this pavilion will give a correct impression of India to the world," he added.
