India will be observing Public Service Broadcasting Day today.
On this day, Mahatma Gandhi had for the first and last time visited Delhi's All India Radio (AIR) studio in 1947 to address the people who were temporarily settled in Kurukshetra after the partition of the Indian subcontinent.
The day will be marked by a function which will be organised in the premise of AIR to celebrate the occasion.
