The India Army on Thursday rescued over 300 people stranded in Pune due to the incessant rains.
According to an official statement by Indian Army's Southern Command, the people were rescued by the five teams during the intervening night of September 25 and 26.
Till now, at least 12 persons have lost their lives in rain-related incidents after an intense spell of heavy showers pounded the city.
In view of the incidents, Pune District Collector Naval Kishore Ram has declared holiday for September 27 for colleges and schools in Pune city, Purandar, Baramati, Bhor and Haveli tehsil.
