'Indian Ocean' captivates crowd with 'Everyone Is Someone Music Concert'

Indian Rock band Indian Ocean mesmerized the crowd with their Everyone Is Someone music concert held at Indian Habitat Centre's Amphitheatre on Saturday.

The 1990 formed band, consisting of Rahul Ram, Himanshu Joshi, Amit Kilam, Asheem Chakravarty and Nikhil Rao, were playing at Civil Society magazine's Hall Of Fame event, to honor the people whose work at the grassroots level has taken the nation forward.

The band, considered to be the pioneers of the fusion rock genre in India, started the performance with 'Behne Do,' a song from the latest album 'Tandanu.'

Addressing the honorees, bass guitarist and vocalist Rahul Ram said the people were doing an amazing job and their performance was dedicated to them.

They followed with 'Jheeni Re' and 'Ghum Raha Charkha', after which the constantly applauding audience gave a shout out, requesting them to play 'Bande', which was also featured in Anurag Kashyap's 'Black Friday.'

The music group also played the title track of 'Tandanu,' on which, the band revealed that they had collaborated with acclaimed music composer Shankar Mahadevan.

The event, which was held in partnership with the Aziz Premji Foundation felicitated five sets of people which included The Soya Project, IPS officer Praveen Kumar, Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sanagathan's (MKSS) core group member Shankar Singh, Doctors For You, and the People's Pastors from Meghalaya- Kyrsoibor Pyrtuh, Zambolis Sawkmie and Moody Lyngkhoi.
