India's leading B2B e-commerce company Industrybuying has announced the appointment of Himanshu Garg as the Vice President of Supply Chain.
The appointment is in line with the company's plans to strengthen its leadership team and further to streamline the entire supply chain process.
Himanshu, an IIT Roorkee and MDI Gurgaon alumnus, has around twelve years of experience in different supply-chain-management functions spanning key areas such as demand and fulfillment, planning and deployment, logistics, cost saving, warehouse management, inventory management, modern trade supply chain planning, order management, process re-engineering, logistic IT projects and so on.
Welcoming Himanshu, Swati Gupta, Co-founder and CEO of Industrybuying said, "We wholeheartedly welcome Himanshu who will take the onus of accentuating our supply chain process. Himanshu's expertise in supply chain management will strengthen our endeavor to reach out to as many new customers as possible in tier III and tier IV cities. We are of the firm belief that he will make a significant contribution and help us in realizing our goals together."
Prior to his appointment at Industrybuying, Himanshu was associated with Dabur India and Tata Motors. In his last assignment with Dabur India, he worked in the capacity of Senior Manager - Supply Chain for almost 10 years, successfully managing primary logistics of the company and helping in IT automation, process development, re-engineering and innovation.
"Industrybuying has already established a strong foothold in the B2B e-commerce sector and it gives me much pleasure to be a part of this visionary team. We, together as a team, will further improve buyers' experience by building an end-to-end supply chain process, infrastructure and developing LSPs for our unique need; and our bedrock will be IT automation and process innovation for a business scenario as complex as B2B commerce," said Himanshu Garg.
This important development is part of a major string of hiring's in Industrybuying over the past few months. Himanshu's hiring is seen as a shot in the arm to the B2B E-commerce company's effort to bolster its pan India reach.
