Infosys lead independent director, KV Kamath welcomed and congratulated Vishal Sikka the new CEO and MD of the Infosys Limited today in an event in Bangalore.
Kamath said "the process to find the new successor to what, I believe, is the founder of the IT industry in India, Mr. Murthy, was very transparent and open-minded."
He also thanked the other committee members and consulted team who worked together on this task and expressed his gratitude towards NR Narayana Murthy for leading the company in the challenging times.
Kamath further added that "the process was both internal and external slate driven and the task was completed in less than eight weeks."
He said by the end of the next quarter in October the company will be fully transitioned heading towards the success.
