Ever wondered why your girlfriend or wife or date looked upset after you had just passed her an honest compliment? Well, not all innocent flattery is good flattery.

According to AskMen, women get easily offended by compliments like -

"You clean up nicely", "You look so young" or "You'd be prettier if you smiled more," News.com.au reported.

Telling a woman that she is not like other girls, or she's innocent or bubbly is also not advisable.

Also, women really hate it when they are told that they look healthy or like a girl who knows how to have a good time.
