Chennai Super Kings spinner Imran Tahir gave credit to skipper MS Dhoni for his scintillating performance against Kolkata Knight Riders here on Sunday.
"I just bowl according to how the captain wanted me to bowl and it is always beneficial taking advice from Mr Dhoni. He is an absolute legend and been helping me a lot this season, so actually the credit goes to him than myself," Tahir said during the post-match press conference.
"There are few things which I do not think personally and then he comes and tell me like what I need to bowl and which area and where the guy is looking to hit," he added.
The 40-year old took some crucial wickets of Chris Lynn and destructive Andre Russell which shackled the KKR batting line-up and confined the hosts to just 161 runs.
Chennai then easily chased down the target and won the match by five wickets.
Man of the match, Tahir, took four wickets which helped him achieve the purple cap, a cap entitled to the player with most number of wickets in the ongoing season.
Chennai will now visit Hyderabad to face Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 17.
