British singer Sam Smith may now be seen in a Hollywood flick as the singer is now eyeing the US film industry, it has been reported.
The 22-year-old singer has caught the eye of Tom Cruise, who wants to groom the singer for a big-screen role, the Daily Star reported.
One top executive who has worked with Cruise said that the actor has offered to take Smith under his wing.
The source continued that Cruise was intrigued to learn that Smith started off as an actor and he thinks that the 'Stay with Me' hitmaker he could be a natural for everything from action movies to musicals.
Smith, who won four Grammys and two Brit awards last month, landed the lead role in an amateur production of The Rocky Horror Show as a teenager.
