The Pentagon has said that air strikes conducted by the U.S.-led coalition in Syria last month have reportedly killed an Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) leader, known as the 'emir of suicide bombers'.

U.S. authorities said that Tariq al-Harzi oversaw key logistical operations for the ISIS, including getting fighters and weapons into Iraq and Syria to fuel the terror machine, reported the CNN.

The Tunisian jihadist is believed to be one of the first foreign fighters to join ISIS and is believed to have helped the terror group organise its suicide and vehicle-borne bombings in Iraq, the Pentagon said.

Al Harzi had been on U.S.'s terror list since last year and the State Department had announced a USD three million bounty for information on him.
