The chairman of the government's citizen engagement platform MyGov, Arvind Gupta said Tuesday that problems faced in various parts of the country can be identified and solution can be devised.
Taking part in an interaction at the ANI-organised India Infracon 2018 conclave, Gupta was responding to a question related to identifying drought-prone areas and areas that were indulging in stubble-burning in real time.
"A lot of the heat maps of information (to identify areas) are produced and it is adequately shared with relevant stakeholders. The data is produced by locals of relevant areas," Gupta maintained.
Gupta said that both primary and crowd-sourced data is now available through MyGov, while the primary objective is to collect crowd-sourced data.
As per Gupta, MyGov is making huge strides in collecting crowd-sourced data, wherein the public participates in governance not only by communicating issues, but also by dropping solutions.
Addressing the issue of poor or inadequate internet access for a majority of Indians, Gupta said those without internet connectivity can also convey their suggestions through mobile.
