It's out! Lamar Odom's first pic post drug overdose

Basketball champ Lamar Odom has been pictured in the very first photo since he was hospitalized after a life-threatening drug overdose- and it's a sight for sore eyes.

Sr. Odom's teenage son Lamar Morales Odom shared the playful image on Instagram, captioning it "Christmas with my pops. Here's to 2016. Blessed"

The picture is a hopeful one and comes just weeks after the 36-year-old former NBA player walked on his own for the first time.

The 36-year-old basketball player was rushed to hospital in Las Vegas for an overdose back in October and has been recovering at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Khloe Kardashian, Odom's estranged wife, is reported to have flown the children out to Los Angeles, where he's currently still being looked after, as reported by News.com.au.

Odom is said to have taken three steps without his walker two weeks ago and recently also saw an improvement in his range of arm movement with his kidneys and organs making a full recovery.
