India has been ranked among the moderate drinkers in a poll that demonstrated the maximum amount of alcohol consumed across the globe whereas Belarus topped the chart with 17.5 litres of annual alcohol consumption.
According to the chart, Moldova was ranked second with 16.8 litres of alcohol consumption followed by Lithuania with 15.4 litres of alcohol consumption, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Russia slipped into fourth spot with 15.1 litres of alcohol consumption whereas 14.4 litres of alcohol was consumed by Romanians.
Norway and Japan among few others were listed among the moderate drinkers.
