Jake Gyllenhaal has remade himself in a whole different way to play a championship prize fighter next year in 'Southpaw'.

The 'Nightcrawler' star will be seen as a complete jacked and ripped beast, with 15 pounds of pure muscle, as he plays Junior Middleweight Champion Billy "The Great" Hope, a lefty champ who loses everything in a personal tragedy and is forced to fight his way to redemption, Deadline.com reported.

The film will be directed by Antoine Fuqua, while Kurt Sutter has written the script.
