Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) vice president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Monday termed the Janata Dal United's (JD-U) decision to expel Sabir Ali an internal matter of that party.

"I don't know that why he has been removed. It is their (JD-U) party's internal decision," Naqvi said.

Earlier in the day, Ali had praised the policies crafted by Modi, and said, "Modi's policies (in Gujarat) are good and Modi's work for development is also laudable."

He also said that smaller parties were trying to cheat Muslims in the name of secularism.
