Jeffrey Dean Morgan, David Strathairn to star in 'Walkaway Joe'

Jeffrey Dean Morgan and David Strathairn are all set to star in family drama 'Walkaway Joe'.

The cast list also includes 'I Hate Kids' actor Julian Feder and 'Christmas on the Coast' actor Julie Ann Emery. The film is being helmed by first-time feature director Tom Wright.

Penned by Michael Milillo, the film revolves around a teenage boy Dallas, who is in search of his father who abandoned his family. Joe Haley, a drifter wrestling with a past he had rather forget, feels responsible for the boy's safety and reluctantly takes Dallas in.

According to a report by Deadline, Rachel McHale, Minor Childers, and Milillo are collaborating to handle the production of the project.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan past credits include 'The Walking Dead', 'Rampage', 'Solace' and 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice', while David Strathairn has done films like 'Godzilla', 'The Bourne Ultimatum' and 'We Are Marshall'.
