Queensland batsman Joe Burns has said that he was impressed with English all-rounder Tim Bresnan's performance in a match between an England development squad and a Queensland Second XI.
According to News.com.au, Burns said that Bresnan was looking pretty good, adding that it certainly felt as if he was still building himself but was not too far away.
The likely flatness of the Adelaide Oval wicket may count against Bresnan's recall because he may not yet have the fitness to perform the marathon bowling stints often required in an Adelaide Test, the report said.
The bustling seamer has made an impressive comeback from a stress fracture of the back, scoring 57 off 62 balls then taking 4-31 off 10 overs for an England development squad, the report added.
