John Legend is all set to join sixteenth season of 'The Voice' as a coach.
The spot is currently held by Jennifer Hudson who will serve as a coach on Season 15, scheduled to debut on September 24. Legend will take over the spot in the following season that will be launched in spring.
The 'All of Me' singer will be joining Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton. Commenting on this Legend said that he is thrilled to join the show. He has been guest and mentor on the show multiple times in past.
The news comes just days after Legend became one of the youngest people, and a first African-American male, to bag EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony) status.
The singer won his first Emmy for co-producing NBC's Jesus Christ Superstar Live, past Sunday.
