Former IPS officer and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kiran Bedi on Saturday denied Congress' allegation that she used anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare to enter politics saying that it was the right thing to do at that time, as a voice had to be raised against corruption.
"I do not use people, neither do I get used. I do what is ethically right at the right time for that moment. At that time being with Anna was the right thing to do because India was into a morass of corruption. It had to be spoken out to save our country. That became the basis of change," she said.
Bedi also said that she was willing to fight Delhi Assembly elections from any part of the city as she served Delhi in different capacities during her tenure.
"New Delhi is also my city, I have been a resident of New Delhi, I have also served different departments of the Delhi police," she said.
Delhi Assembly elections are scheduled to be held on February 7.
