Jon Hamm-Rosamund Pike starrer 'Beirut' has finally landed a 2018 release date.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, studio Bleeker Street announced that Brad Anderson's political thriller 'Beirut' will hit theaters April 13, next year.
Previously titled 'High Wire Act', 'Beirut' focuses on a top US diplomat (Hamm) who leaves Lebanon in the 1970s after his wife is killed.
Ten years later, he is called back to the war-torn city by CIA operatives (Rosamund Pike, Dean Norris) to negotiate for the life of a friend he left behind.
The story is written by Tony Gilroy, previously known for writing 'Bourne Legacy' and 'Michael Clayton'.
The studio made a slew of additional release date announcements as it firmed up its 2018 calendar. 'Disobedience', starring Rachel Weisz, Rachel McAdams and Alessandro Nivola, is slated to bow on April 27.
Directed by Sebastian Leio from a script by Lelio and Rebecca Lenkiewicz, the story centers around a woman who returns to her Orthodox Jewish community in London after the death of her estranged father, a Rabbi. Once home, she stirs up controversy while showing interest in a childhood friend.
