Joseph Gordon-Levitt is all set to produce and star 'Fraggle Rock' movie, it has been reported.
Online collaborative production company HitRecord is working with Lisa Henson, daughter of the late Jim Henson, to produce the film for the big screen, the Verge reported.
The American actor said in a statement that Jim's characters makes one laugh and sing, but they are also layered, surprising, and wise.
Levitt continued that collaborating with Lisa makes him confident that they can do something that Jim would have loved and he is grateful and excited to be working with New Regency on this project.
'Fraggle Rock', which debuted back in 1983, followed the musical lives of the creatures that inhabit the eponymous Fraggle Rock. 'Fraggle Rock: The Movie' has been in development since 2005, when the Jim Henson Company officially announced that it was working on a film adaptation with the original cast.
