Ace Indian shuttlers Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa entered the second round of the French Open by sweeping aside their Thai opponents in straight sets on Wednesday.
The Indian duo took just 31 minutes to defeat Jongkolphan Kititharakul and Rawinda Prajongjai 21-15, 21-12 in the opening round women's doubles contest.
Earlier in the day, top-seeded Saina Nehwal and eighth seed Parupalli Kashyap also made it to the second round of the tournament by defeating their opponents in their respective events.
Meanwhile, PV Sindhu, who reached her maiden Super Series final at the Denmark last week, will aim to continue her rampaging form when she will face Chinese fourth seed Wang Shixian.
