Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut believes that since Indian cinema in the late 80's and 90's glorified villainous characters, men who have faced rejection in real life get inspired by those characters and turn towards crime.

While addressing the media at Femina magazine cover launch, the 28-year-old actress said that it is time that the perception of heroes is changed in the industry.

Kangana said, "If you see in eighties and nineties women were objectified brutally and I always say that the guy who threw acid on Rangoli (Kangana's sister) or people who do things like that they think it is very heroic because their idea of heroism comes from movies and this sort of stalker or tragedy stricken obsessive lovers is hugely glorified in films and theses rejected boys identify a lot with such tragic characters and we need to change the perception of heroes.

The 'Queen' star also said that if given a chanc, she would make a biopic on her sister Rangoli Ranaut, an acid attack survivor.
