England have won the toss and asked India to bat first in the opening Twenty20 international of the three-match series against England at Green Park Stadium here on Thursday.
Following the toss, Indian skipper Virat Kohli admitted that he would have bowled first keeping in mind the dew factor. He, however, hoped that his side could get enough score on board.
"I would have bowled first, to be honest, considering the dew factor," Kohli said.
England skipper Eoin Morgan, on the other hand, admitted that Kanpur wicket looks more of a batting track.
As far as Playing XI is concerned,off-spinner Parvez Rasool has been given a T20I cap while Yuzvendra Chahal has been called in place of Amit Mishra.
India, however, will miss the services of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, both of whom have been rested for the entire T20 series.
For England, Joe Root, who missed the final ODI against India, has been recalled in the squad. Tymal Mills, a left-arm pacer bowling at 90mph speed, is all set to be unleashed on India in the T20s.
