A local Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) activist was hacked to death in Payyannur of Kerala's Kannur district in the wee hours today.
According to reports, C.K. Ramachandran, the local BMS chief, was attacked soon after midnight when he was at his residence.
In a separate incident, a CPM worker C.V. Dhanaraj was attacked by bike-borne assailants here on Monday evening.
As per reports, a six-member gang attacked him with swords at around 10.15 p.m. and fled from the scene.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but succumbed to his injuries later.
