Expressing grief over the death of Indian soldiers in the ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Poonch Sector of Jammu and Kashmir, former External Affairs minister and senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid on Sunday called on the Centre to take some serious steps in the matter to pay off to the sacrifice of the slain soldiers.
"It is important to find a solution to this serious issue; whenever this matter is surfaced, it only attracts political debates and no solutions are found out. The government has to take some important calls on this matter," said Khurshid.
Consoling the family of the slain soldiers, Khurshid said the sacrifices of the Indian soldiers can never be paid off and added a strategic solution to prevent the constant ceasefire violation by Pakistan must be found out.
Earlier, an Indian soldier was killed and two others suffered injuries during the cease fire violations in Poonch.
This came hours after an Indian soldier was killed and a civilian was injured at the R.S Pura Sector.
The Indian Armed Forces have been aptly retaliating the heavy firing initiated by the Pakistani Rangers, which began at 2 a.m. today.
Today's ceasefire violation takes place three days after two women were killed and a child was severely injured in Manjakote Sector of Rajouri district.
This is the 100th incident of ceasefire violation by Pakistan, following India's surgical strike across the Line of Control (LoC) on September 29.
