Bharatiya Janata Party's chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi on Wednesday broke down while campaigning in her assembly constituency of Krishna Nagar.
"I have no words to thank the people for their love," she said.
The former IPS officer, who is contesting the polls for the first time, was seen taking off her glasses and wiping her tears.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing a rally in South Delhi's Ambedkar Nagar later in the day.
Security has been stepped up in the area in order to avoid any disruption.
The elections for the 70-member Delhi Assembly will be held in a single phase on February 7. The counting of votes will take place on February 10. The last day of campaigning is February 5.
