Kristin Scott Thomas has been signed to fill the role of Queen Elizabeth II in New West End adaptation of 'The Audience.'
The Peter Morgan-scripted play, which would be directed by Stephen Daldry, who had also helmed the Helen Mirren version of the drama, would hit the boards at the Apollo Theatre from April 21-July 25, 2015, Deadline.com reported.
The production, which is yet to declare the cast for other roles, would show a series of crucial meetings between the Queen and her Prime Ministers with whom she has had weekly meetings at Buckingham Palace for 60 years, and whose contents are bound by an unspoken agreement never to be repeated.
