Late Kurt Cobain's daughter Frances Bean Cobain has opened up on her father, for the first time, admitting that she is not a fan of his band Nirvana.
In a recent interview, on the 21st death anniversary of her father, the 22-year-old visual artist asserted that she took the role of executive producer for a new documentary about the famed Nirvana singer's life, 'Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck,' in an effort to know him, Stuff.co.nz reported.
Frances said that she was very specific about what and how she wanted her father to be represented in the documentary and didn't want the mythology of Kurt or the romanticism that surrounded him, since he was "27 forever".
She has her own theory behind her father's tragic suicide at a young age of 27, and said that he had to sacrifice himself to his art as the world demanded it of him, and so he felt there was no need of him to be a part of this world.
Despite not being a Nirvana fan, Frances admitted that she likes the song 'Dumb' and cries each time she listens to it.
