Kurt Cobain's native Aberdeen, Washington has unveiled a statue depicting him weeping, to celebrate the late rocker's 47th birthday on February 20.
The inaugural Kurt Cobain Day also featured festivities across the city, including a tribute show and an appearance from the late star's guitar teacher, Contactmusic reported.
The sculpture, which is made by artist Randi Hubbard and had reportedly been in the works for the past 20 years, shows a single tear on the musician's right cheek as he sits and plays a guitar.
The sculpture is now set to go on display at the Aberdeen Museum of History.
