A man, named Rovier Carrington, who claims to be the great-grandson of 'Three Stooges' actor Moe Howard, has accused the late Paramount Pictures chief Brad Grey of raping him and threatening to ruin his budding career in showbiz. He has demanded 100 million dollars in damages.
In a lawsuit filed on Tuesday in New York State Supreme Court, lawyers of Carrington said he was 'blacklisted' from working with Paramount's parent company Viacom Inc after he refused to sign a nondisclosure agreement following the alleged assault by Grey, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Besides Grey, the 32-page suit also accused producer and former MTV Networks President of Programming Brian Graden of sexually assaulting Carrington.
"We take allegations of this sort seriously, and are reviewing the complaint," Viacom said in a statement.
Grey, a longtime Hollywood talent manager before taking the reins of Paramount in 2005, ran the studio until he was ousted in February 2017. He died three months later of cancer at the age of 59.
