The notification for the fourth and fifth phases of Lok Sabha elections, spread over 128 Parliamentary constituencies in 16 states, will be issued today.
The states are, Assam, Sikkim, Tripura, Goa, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
The last date of filing of nominations is March 26.
Assam, Sikkim, Tripura and Goa will go to the polls on April 12, while polling in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal will be held on April 17.
The counting of votes will take place on May 16.
