Former England cricket Andrew Flintoff, who was forced to quit cricket in 2010 after failing to recover from a serious knee injury, is reportedly planning a surprise comeback to T20 cricket for a domestic team.

Flintoff, who has taken part in a wide range of sporting challenges since quitting in 2010 including a bout as heavyweight boxer at the Manchester Arena, is planning to make a comeback to cricket by playing Twenty20 cricket for his former club St Annes.

According to the Mirror, the former cricket has been back in the indoor nets at Emirates Old Trafford in recent weeks.

The Ashes hero reportedly made his cricketing debut as a 12-year-old for St. Annes and stayed with them until joining Lancashire.

Flintoff's grandfather Harry still watches the Northern League club home and away and regularly helps out doing jobs at the ground, the report added.
