After an Indian soldier was martyred by the Pakistan Army in Jammu and Kashmir's Krishna Ghati, the defence expert on Sunday condemned the attack, stating that losing soldiers is a big loss to the country.

Speaking to ANI, defence expert Colonel D.S. Dhillon said, "These incidents are unfortunate; every month we lose our young and hardworking soldiers. In all ceasefire violation which has taken place so far, the Indian Army has retaliated strongly and effectively. Earlier in the day, a joint cordon and search operation were conducted by the security forces, which were well planned as we trapped three terrorist in that area. We are doing our best to overcome all faults and not to lose anymore soldiers."

Resonating similar views, another defence Expert P.K. Sehgal stated that losing our soldiers is the most heartening issue.

"We have always faced threats and warning at the LOC. Losing our soldiers is the most heartening issue. Despite losing our soldiers the Indian Army has always had an answer ready for Pakistan. Also the unprovoked firing on the Indian Army posts is not a new issue," Sehgal said.

Yesterday, an Indian soldier was martyred after the Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked firing on the Indian Army posts in Jammu and Kashmir's Krishna Ghati sector at around 5

The Indian Army retaliated strongly and effectively.

The soldier has been identified as Nb Sub Jagram Singh Tomar, who got grievously injured during the exchange of fire and succumbed to his injuries.

Tomar, aged 42 years, belonged to Madhya Pradesh's Morena and is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.

Earlier yesterday, a joint cordon and search operation (CASO) was conducted by the security forces in the Awneera village of Shopian district.
