A low intensity blast occurred on Friday in Mundeshwari Enclave near a passport office in the Rajeev Nagar police station area of Bihar's capital Patna. No casualties have been reported, so far.
Investigation is still on to determine what triggered off the blast, and whether it was a bomb or not.
"There was a garbage bag kept near the gate of the enclave. The inhabitants of the complex told us that when the bag was being lit, it burst quite loudly. Investigation is still going on as to whether it
was a bomb or not that triggered the blast," Mamata Kalyani, Deputy Superintendent of Bihar Police (DSP), told ANI here.
The DSP further informed that the area has been cordoned off by a Special Team and the Bomb Disposal Squad to facilitate further investigation.
