Lieutenant General Surinder Singh, Western Army Commander visited the Rising Star Corps on September 23- 24.
The Army Commander reviewed the operational preparedness of the Army in the Jammu-Pathankot region and emphasised on ensuring fool proof security measures.
He visited areas in Jammu, Samba and Pathankot where he interacted with field commanders and troops in the area and appreciated the efforts of the Army units and formation.
He reiterated the need to maintain a high order of operational preparedness and alertness.
He also visited Headquarter Northern Command and interacted with Lieutenant General D.S. Hooda.
