Naidu accuses Congress, CPI (M) nexus of cheating Kerala

Accusing the Congress-Communist Party of India nexus of cheating the people of Kerala, Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday said they should be asked as to what policy they had been following in the state.

"The Congress is just cheating the people. What policy they (Congress-Communist Party) are following they should be asked. They are friends in Delhi but they fight in Kerala. We are getting a good opportunity to teach them a lesson," he said while addressing a rally here.

Naid said as far as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is concerned, they don't discriminate on the basis of caste and religion.

"Irrespective of caste, creed sex, region and religion India is one. One nation, one people one country the only party is Bharatiya Janata Party," he added.

Taking a dig at dynasty politics Naidu said, "For the Congress, politics is dynasty, but actually it is nasty. Politics is nasty for congress and communist people. We have to put an end to dynasty."

"The Congress and the Communist Party cast politics, religious politics, we have enough of it. Now the time has come to put an end to this religious politics and caste politics. We must all untie people on the basis of character and caliber and capacity," he added.

Asserting that terrorism has no religion, Naidu said some people are trying to give it a religious colour so that these crimes can be covered.

"In the Parliament also the government is doing excellent things in the reforms. Reforms are moving fast forward. "Adani and Ambani Congress ki meharbani", they both were born in the Congress rule," he added.

Kozhikode in north Kerala hosted a three-day national council meeting of the BJP which began today.

At least 2,500 delegates including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his team of ministers attended it.

The national council meeting was dedicated to its ideologue Deen Dayal Upadhyaya who became the president of the Jan Sangh, the BJP's forerunner.

Upadhyaya was elected president of the Jan Sangh in 1937 at the party conclave in Kozhikode then known as Calicut.

He was assassinated 41 days later in Mugalsari railway station in Uttar Pradesh. This is also Upadhyaya's centenary year.
