Even though his movies are not getting favourable reviews from the critics and the audiences, but that hasn't stop Mark Wahlberg to be at the tip of the iceberg.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the actor, who reprised the role of mechanic Cade Yeager in 'Transformer: The Last Knight,' knocked down Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson as the highest paid actor in the Forbes annual list.

The 'Daddy's Home' star took a whopping USD 68 million in pre-taxed earnings, dropping Johnson to the second place, who earned USD 65 million.

Wahlberg also beat Vin Diesel, who sits at No. 3 with 54.5 million USD.

Rounding out the top five spots this year are Adam Sandler in fourth with USD 50.5 million and Jackie Chan in fifth with USD 49 million.

The 'Avengers' star Robert Downey Jr. came in sixth with USD 48 million.

Meanwhile, there are three Indian actors that found place in the top 10.

Shah Rukh Khan is at number eight, who made USD 38 million (Rs 243.50 cr), 'Sultan' star Salman Khan is at number 9 with USD 37 million (Rs 237 cr) and Akshay Kumar at number 10, who made USD 35.5 million (Rs 227.5 cr).

'La La Land' star Emma Stone leads the race of the highest paid actresses in the world, but her earning of USD 26 million is nowhere close to the highest paid actors. She is closely followed by Jennifer Aniston with USD 25.5 million and Jennifer Lawrence with USD 24 million.
